  • Sun up colours

This shot was one of many taken at Bicheno in June. Lovely colours in the sky but due to lens distortion the horizon is dished. How do you correct that in Photoshop?

    Warp Tool.

    Edit > Transform > Warp.

Be careful, because a little goes a long way with that tool! For that shot you should be able to just click (and hold) just above the horizon line and drag it up until it's straight (then release).

Beautiful shot. What a sunset! Bicheno would've been a beautiful location to enjoy it from too. Lucky bugger!

Thanks mate, that was a sunrise, I'll see if I can wangle it.

Might have overdone it a tad, but I get the idea. Thanks for that.

No dramas mate, only a pinch to far. Easily corrected. Just be aware each time you apply it, it will soften any effected areas ever so slightly. Not much of a problem generally, but sometimes if doing multiple or extreme warps it can be noticeable. Just something to keep an eye out for.
