Exactly.. I totally agree. I came into photography from a graphic design background. Too many clients would come to me with camera phone photos & expect me to retouch them to be amazing.
That was years ago & it the age of dslr's it still happens & I really hate to have to fix things.. Sure it can be done, but should it? Nothing is more pleasing than working with a clean image.
So I guess this photography thing is about capturing nice light, as nicely as possible. & getting it right in camera.
