Thank you DPR I had been using the pod but these photos I did not and it can be hard for a basic walk around the yard seeing what spring has sprung in the garden today with my lighter lens say 18-55 or even my 35mm I am not shaky but what I think I need is one of those small tripods can't think if the have a right name or not minipod or something with the bendy legs but I need to find out if these will hold the weight of a DSLR and up to what weight they hold including lens esp for around the house that way I can get closer to say the flowers bugs and things that are not lower to the ground or even a bean bag on the ground or if need be raised by something like a book hard cover book if I need more height these are just things going around in my head to get a way of getting the cam lower enough but not hand held

See photo number 2 I took that sitting on the ground hand holding see how I got less of other things in the frame at least that is easy to crop out what I did get in the frame photo 1 I was bending down towards the flower and see how I got a lot more of other flowers in the shoot and too hard to crop out. as these growing in big bunches together if you get what I mean

It has also been suggested to me to pick the flowers and take them inside I have also done this in the past but also want to take nature where nature is if you get what I mean. Where there is a will there is a way I have the will just have to find the right way for me thank you so much all advice is good advice and I am happy to take on board what I can when I can.
