  • Dolphins Surfing

The light was dreadful this morning, so I left the Canon at home - then I had to berate myself while following a pod of surfing dolphins along the beach for 30 mins, with nothing but my iPhone.

It doesn't do so well when zoomed and using 50 ISO. Lesson learned.

Only one, vaguely useful photo as a record shot

Damn! Looks like they are having a ball surfing.

We went on a sunset cruise in Rovinj, Croatia mainly to get a good shot of the headland with church in good light. At the very end they spotted two dolphins and followed them for ages. All the Europeans on board were so excited to see them - and they were only just breaking the surface - while we were thinking come on lets move on. Of course it was dark when we returned to harbour.

      Thanks Gabby

They were having fun - every now and then they would all join together in a swirling mass with tails in the air - not sure what was going on there? They were certainly in no hurry to go anywhere.

You may have seen this one before, but new members may not have. Taken with the Canon G11 on June 23 (hmm?) in 2011
