Neighbourhood Christmas Lights

I was told by the grand kids that I had to get shots of the Christmas lights around the corner so begrudgingly I got out the camera and did the deed.

Good work again Isac and you have managed to get some light in the sky in most.

I have done these in previous years and although we had a walk around looking at some I couldn't get enthusiastic enough to take the camera.

I always wonder how much money these people spend. I suspect it can be well over $10,000 in some cases. I suppose the cost would often be spread over a number of years.

Thanks Alan. This street nearby just keep adding to their displays every year and it would cost a bomb I reckon. I just park at one end of the street and have the camera on the tripod - stopping at each house. I have the camera set to Manual, ISO 400/640, f:8/f:9, Stabilisation OFF. Then I use the LCD screen to adjust the shutter speed for exposure, 2 second timer and it's done. It works well for me. Sometimes I'll take a couple of shots darker to get good exposure on the super bright lights and then blend in post.
