  • Milky Way again

I noticed this beach sculpture earlier in the day and thought it might be useful as foreground for a night sky shot.

and then used a sand dune on the way home

Glad I made the effort to get out and take these as it's been very average/cloudy weather since.

Thanks Greg for taking the time to look and comment.

I hope I'm doing it right - I'm never sure how to process a night sky to keep it looking natural, but still trying to bring out the stars and the glow of the spiral

I like both of these Alan, particularly the top one with the sculpture on the beach. It's difficult to know the best way of processing, as you said, but the best way is the way you like them yourself. Love the colours in the top one and these nights (when the clouds go somewhere else) are wonderful for the milky way.

            Thanks Jenne - welcome back

I've been loving your night skies elsewhere

Thanks Alan, it's good to be back, I think I have finally re-organised my life to fit in most of the things I used to enjoy each day.
