I do like my cheese P Plates and I think the detail in the image is due to it being very close to Earth and looking rather large.
Thanks Greg, the camera is the Canon SX50 with a 200x zoom. (equivalent to 1200mm) and on a tripod. The photo is at about 3/4 zoom. At full zoom it shows 1/4 of the moon - incredible.
The new SX60 is being released in November along with the new 7D series II. They are both on my shopping list.I Shoot A Canon
