Milky Way at Merry Beach

Last night here, so trying to capture the amazing sky above us as we sat around the campfire solving the world's problems

I didn't have the enthusiasm/skill to do a pano.

But it's on my list..

Amazing! I get so frustrated shooting the Milky Way, especially after driving out of town to get the shot. My results are very hit and miss. Really like the van and campfire as foreground interest.

Really like that the Milky Way appears to be streaming out from the fire.

Nothing short of fabulous Alan. Nice one for the wall. I'm off to shoot the annual Avon Descent soon (best water for a decade) so I might have a crack at a night shot without the light pollution.
