Some Bluewater bugs

I've been playing with the camera and bits and captured the following.
I realise they are nowhere near as good as some of the stuff posted on here, but I'm getting there. At least I hope I am.
Butterfly or moth?


This little guy is giving me the salute. Very respectful of him.


Not sure what kind of bug this is but I was pretty proud of myself to get him in flight.


These are on the driveway fence in the top paddock near the gate. Just so I can remember where to take the Mortein next time I'm up there. They are such stingers!!

Well to be honest this is an excellent series of shots, your focus is sharp giving plenty of detail and the colour and lighting is spot on. Even the composition in each shot is good. Were these shots taken by someone headed for Stardom?

I think you are making big steps on the improvement scale Moreso than what I am able to pull off
You have done very well on all of these. I particularly like the BIF ( bug in flight ) pretty tough stuff to get them
both on the same focal plane. The only thing I would consider pertains to the first image...I would probably crop away
most of the LHS because it is blown out and really takes away from a beautiful shot of butterfly/moth.

Eaglem, thank you for your kind words. I'm trying my hardest, but it's nowhere near as easy as you make it look.

Timmo, I see what you mean about cropping out the LHS. I'll have a play with it. I didn't even notice that part until you mentioned it. Somhow I just don't see the errors of my ways until someone points them out.

Jim, thank you but there's nothing to be jealous about. I am the one that is jealous of Eaglem and MarkB. They rock!

Mark, you are probably right because the big bug actually made a buzzing kind of sound, only it was very deep. I'll go and google them both. Thanks.
