  • Never 'Just' a Bee

    Little beauties, to me.

It is late in the autumn here in Brisbane and the bees are dying off slowly from the colder nights and the wet and windy weather. There is a field nearby where a number of native bees roost at night, some in numbers and others just one individual on occasion is to be seen. These ones are the more numerous Nomad Bees - lucky to find one alone.

All are flash shots using SS to control ambient light at sundown - the BG is a broken cloudy sky towards the west. Relative stability is maintained by holding the grass stem the bee is on in left hand and resting lens on same hand - if one moves so does the other, the advantage of short Working Distance.

If you are interested in doing a Macro Day in Brisbane with me see : Macro Meditation Day and links on the right of that site.

Pm, mail, or ring me, details are here and there.

    All the best. M

Thanks Scott. I might just do that sometime. Something towards costs would be a help.
