    Lovely colour and texture eaglem, and well composed with good background separation. The centre of the flower looks nice and sharp but I think the butterfly's head might be outside the dof, although a bit hard to tell at this size.

      Looks okay on my monitor but the light colour of the head may make it look like it's out of focus.

    They make a great a subject eaglem. I think you did OK with this one. Sometimes they look blurry because their body can have a very fluffy coat which never looks sharp. I like the colours and composition too.

    Isn't nature grand. That butterffly is called a moth God knows why? It looks more like a butterfly with its colourful folded wings.
    Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

      I think it's antenna are those of a Butterfly and not a Moth and yet it is commonly called a Cabbage Moth.

      You're right eaglem, it is a "Cabbage White Butterfly" and often mistaken for a moth. They don't last long as adults - about 3 weeks.
      The species was accidentally introduced to North America, Bermuda, Australia, and New Zealand.
