Great detail in this image Kevin. Has the spider bitten off more than he can swallow?

She didn`t let go until she finished it.

Lovely detail and well displayed Kevin. Herculean effort by the spider, they seem to take on rather difficult tasks.

Good one . It has come out well. Wouldn't want to meet one a foot tall.

Might help with some of the feral animals roaming around.

Excellent macro photo. Is that a crab spider of sorts? I think they just suck the fluids out of their prey......:-(

We call them Lynx spiders and yes they suck them dry.

Excellent colour, lighting and detail Kevin, and having the prey makes it much more interesting.

I think it is a type of Lynx spider going by the spines on the legs and eye arrangement. These hunt their prey rather than building a web and waiting. As mark said spiders basically liquify their prey and suck up the liquid.
