        More great shots Brad. The Lynx shots are amazing, you can almost feel the sharp barbs on his legs.

          Thanks John. Prickly looking characters alright. Pretty much harmless though I think, I have had them jump all over me while taking photos of them and haven't noticed any bites or spikes.

              I must say Ironwood, you seem to have this down pat. They are all excellent images. I might even try it on some stationary items first to see if my pulse rate increases.

                It's a new genre for me so I'm not that confident - but I will give it a crack. I only have one macro lens, the Tamron 60mm f2 Di II. It seems to be pretty sharp especially around the f4-f8 range. It's also a good portrait lens. I'll see what I can come up with. I'm not going to kill bugs just to get images, but If I find a few dead ones then I'll consider them as donors to the cause.

                Apparently you can stick 'em in the freezer for a while to "slow them down". It's like catch and release .
