  • Daddy Long Legs

I found daddy long legs in the closet and thought I'd have a go at some macro. Even with the light on in the closet I decided to try the el-cheapo ring light.

#1 The setup 7DII, Sigma 17-70 and ringlight.

#2 The spider. f8.0, 1/125, ISO 200. It appears that this lens is front focusing a tad also. I was focused on the body, but the legs closer to the lens are sharper. I tried f22.0, but that was a disaster.

#3 Focus chart seems to bear our the front focus theory.

Micro-adjust the focus and it should be OK. Doesn't look too far out.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

New feature on the MarkII. You can adjust microfocus on a zoom lens individually for the wide and and the zoom end.
Working...
