    Nice and sharp and well exposed. I'd prefer to see the insect from more of a front view and possibly a bit larger in the frame, or standing out more from the background. I think the background is fighting you in this one with bright colours pulling the viewers eye in three different directions.

      Yeah , unfortunately there was only one angle .
      This is a baby mantis and it would be under 10mm in length or there about .
      Not sure it's going to hang around for the dial calipers .
      It's simply a case of take the picture or walk away . ( I took the picture )

        I definitely agree MEK. You often don't have much choice and have to make the best of what you are given.

      Very Deep colours where ours are usually light Green.
