Mouldy rotten fruit is heaven to some. Like these long legged Weevils. It’s a tiny creature, to about 1cm long, and plentiful when there is some old fruit skin to feed on and live under.

Periodically I leave something out for those that enjoy it. A pear on the balcony railing – more suited to the ants and flies, or an orange spiked on a post in the garden and left to age in the elements. Way to bait some nature, bring it out from its dark corners.

No Greg, they are visiting the staked fruit in the garden. Rarely seen otherwise.

Thanks for the link Mark. I have read it a couple of times already, but just don't get much of a chance to make any changes to my set-up. When I do get a spare half hour, all I want to do is get out in the backyard with camera in hand. One day when my life slows down a little, I definitely will be making some changes and experimenting with different things.
So many things I want to do, but so little spare time.....
