Golden Ant-Mimicking Spider

This is a new type of Jumping Spider for me, first time I have seen one.
It was difficult to photograph because it kept moving away from me, usually around onto the backside of the leaf.
I got a couple of passable shots, but most went straight to the trashcan as they were out of focus, or blurred, or just bad angles.

Of course.
Nikon D7100, Nikon 55mm f2.8D macro, 1/200th, iso200, f16, using the pop-up flash with a foam diffuser stuck onto the end of the lens.

I use these settings nearly all the time, I vary the shutter speed sometimes, up to 1/320 if there is enough ambient light.

Great shots Ironwood. I've never seen one of these although a friend used to photograph them all the time at our local Japanese Garden. I've looked but never found them - think I may need a magnifying glass.

Cheers PP. This one was hard to spot at first, it wasn't typical of the other jumpers in my garden. And small, maybe only 4mm long.

Cheers Jo. I was surprised at the colour when I saw it in the viewfinder, and once I saw those eyes, there was no mistaking it for anything else but a Jumper. I like finding new ones
