  • Jiminy bites the dust.

Poor Jiminy that I photographed yesterday, looks like he has met his demise at the hands of the Greenants .

Poor Jiminy - but his demise is your gain.

Nature at work and a photographer with the skills to capture it. Good to see an old Nikon Macro still up to the job too

Not sure if its the same hopper, but its a good story .

This old lens continues to amaze me, I got it cheap off ebay, it came with no lens caps and was covered in dust, the front and rear elements have scuffs from cleaning, and its been dropped a couple of times, I dropped it 1.5 meters onto concrete, it just keeps going.
I actually prefer the images out of this lens over my latest model Nikon 105mm macro.

Fantastic photos and a great story. Well done. I've got a solution for the Jiminy demise, of how to get him back. It's a photo I took last year but I'm not going to hijack your thread. I'll post it up some other time. The detail on those ants is super.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks PPlates. I am glad you told me you like that one, for some reason I like the first one, I think because of those Greenants at the front looking like they are rushing in to help with the kill.
