                  You obviously are getting fantastic results using AF. I tried using AF early on in the piece without much luck , Nikon DSLR (currently a D7100) and Nikon AF-D 55mm f2.8 and Nikon 105mm f2.8. I get better results using MF and moving my camera in and out (handheld) to get focus.
                  I seems we are using different gear, and it seems yours is more suited for AF work. I guess we all try and make the gear we have, work for us.
