  • Never tried this before

    Hi my first attempt at a Macro I dont know what i am doing. Using the OMD with the kit 12-50 Lens

    It's too small to see anything here but looks good at flickr. Nice composition, if a bit too much empty space on right..

      G'day mate

      ... and the exif data is missing, so it's hard to work out what settings you were using too

      However - most macro stuff comes out well when you are in Aperture mode x f11 ~ f22 sort of range, maybe using flash for some lighting assistance etc
      -if- you are using extension tubes with the 12-50 lens, then you cannot zoom while in extension tube mode coz the focus goes up the shoot

      If you can post a larger image & also give us some idea of the exif data, we'll have a real-good go at confusing you heaps more !!!

        The bee looks nice and sharp. Agree about too much space on the right and would be great to see it larger, without having to go to Flickr.

          It has a nice look to it .. I would crop to the end of the daisy on the right to get rid of some of that space. Not sure about the lighting but a pretty good start to macro.

            Can only agree with the previous posts,with Macro,the rule of thirds does not apply,the Bee is the subject,so fill the frame with it,.
            C+C,EDITS OK
            I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.
