  • Golden Orb-weaver

    Just a random shot when the birds weren't cooperating.

    A 500mm lens with a minimum focus distance of 3m is not ideal for close up shots, but it just requires a bit of cropping. Very common spiders. If you have ever walked into a web you will know how strong the webs can be.

    The ever wonderful Nephila is one that I also enjoy imagery of ... and the long lens certainly means that you / I are not interfering with the web to get a closeup!
