    The latest Lightroom has buttons for Auto, B/W, and HDR. Not worked out the HDR bit yet...

      Hmmmmm ... looks a bit like a conundrum of the 1001 possible solutions to the supposed problem
      It seems luckily for you that a solution was not too far from the above 'conundrum'

        Nice shot. I'd be tempted to play with the different color filters for B&W to see what each effect would do.
        Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

          Lots of interesting curves in those trunks Mark. Looks good but I would probably go for slightly deeper blacks.

          I read somewhere that the HDR is for preparing images for HDR displays, but haven't looked into it either.

            Great twists and shapes in this one Mark. I don't us LR so not qualified to comment on the conversion.
