  • 3 Flowers - 3 Ways

I really like the way the three Gerberas were all facing three different directions. Backwards, Side On and 45 Degrees. They must have been confused as to where the light was coming from.

    #1 - Natural colours.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Three interesting treatments Isac and each works well in its own way. I like the textures in the monochrome versions.

I notice that some of the tones are reversed in the sepia version - the reds appear brighter than the lighter colours.

And it shows if you do a good job on the composition and exposure it will look good with or without colour. Especially a thing of beauty!

For me, my favorite is the color followed closely by the B&W version.
        Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

Thanks Alan. I do a lot of playing with B&W but don't post a lot. Some are a bit extreme but that's just because I love to have fun with different styles. The sepia version was pushing selected colours towards the opposing colour on the colour wheel, which inverts them. Crazy effect but does produce some great results.

Thanks Hans. I agree they are a very pretty flower. It was the 3 different angles that caught my eye, hence the photo.

Thanks David, I've always been fascinated by the beauty and colour in our local flora and it makes me happy to be able to it them off to those who also feel the same way. Thanks for looking.
