    G'day Isac

Beautiful flowers and excellent reds tucked in there too

Cheers Phil. I love this time of year, plenty of new colours to see, fresh air, clear skies, new ducks on the lake and plenty of photo opportunities - what's not to like?

    Beautiful shots Isac.

Thanks David. It's hard for me to walk past these flowers without trying to find some way of highlighting them in all their glory.

I come back after missing a few days and find all these new posts to catch up on.

I decided to give my thoughts on each image for this one.

#1 Nicely composed with the sky as a clean background and sharp on the flowers and buds nothing to make it really appealing.

#2 Good detail but the flowers are a bit dark compared to the bg.

#3 Georgeous intense red that really pops against the green background, while retaining lots of detail in those reds.

#4 Nicely composed and the different colour, shape and texture of the cones and leaves work really well

#5 Beautiful soft light giving lovely tones in the reds and greens. I like the way you have included flowers, gum nuts and leaves in the one image and the vertical format works very well with the shape of those leaves.

Thanks for taking the time Alan - appreciated and all noted. I know #1 is not that special to most but I do love the look of the "Pompoms".
      I guess 3 out of 5 is a pass?

Nothing wrong with #1 Isac, but for me it doesn't quite have the impact of the others. I think #2 is let down by the light and not up to the standard of the others.
