    It is definitely red eaglem. Also known as a sleeping hibiscus and cardinal's hat, from the Malvaceae (mallow Family).

    Certainly gets your attention. Red and green should never be seen in clothing so the wisdom goes. Certainly goes ok in nature!

      I vaguely remember the Red Berries of Holly with it's dark Green leaves had an association with Christmas possibly because that's the time of the year the Berries appear. And aren't people supposed to Kiss if standing under a piece of Holly?
