... and who doesn't love a red rose eaglem? A tad overexposed for me though. It appears to be an issue with modern sensors in most DSLR cameras. A couple of stops down seems to help. It seems to have a green colour cast but could be the green wall?I Shoot A Canon

Exposure looks ok to me although the rose looks more pink than red, and there are some bright areas in the leaves. I don’t think the composition works all that well with the main interest tucked up in the top corner. The colour of the rose makes a nice contrast with the greens of the leaves and bg.

I don't mind the square crop, just make the rose centre of attention. I have a quick way to fix the exposure issue of red flowers. I wrote an action and it works really well, all changeable and non-destructive. It's easy to do. In PS, make a selection of the rose (usually Quick Selection tool but I use Select > Color Range...). Then add a Solid Color adjustment layer and enter colour #6b0000. When you click OK you get the new Color Fill 1 layer with a mask. Just change the blend mode to Linear Light - Opacity about 50%. All done with one layer and you don't affect any other parts of the image. With this method, you can play with Blend Modes, Colours and Opacity to get what you need. Here's the result using the above settings and colour.

No worries, it's not for everyone. Actually I don't think anyone here uses actions so it's probably not worth me mentioning it anymore. You only have time for what you do so all good. I must apologise for saying it was a tad overexposed, I meant the reds were not interpreted correctly by the sensor. Seeing the magenta in the centre of the rose brought me to that assumption. I won't bother you with any more of my harebrained ideas

G'day mate
On my screen the original pic looks beaut ... "no worries mate"
The highlights in the centre of the flower are not blown, so I don't consider it to be O/exp at all ... the colour of the lower half of the image (background) does not sway me one way or the other -- it's there so I'm okay with it
To my eyes it's a damn good image -- If it were mine and to be printed I would only clone out the half-leaf at the very bottom and then it would join lots of others around the house

Looks really nice. Digital sensors always tend to overexpose reds while underexposing blues. Nature of the tech unfortunately.Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.
