A couple of Dragonflies

It seems to have gone very quiet here for a couple of days. Here are a couple of opportunistic shots of Dragonflies taken while wandering around with the camera.

Thanks eaglem. Yes they tend to keep moving but occasionally one will settle so I can get a shot.

Nice shots. They do settle for periods of time, but you gotta get them then. I have photo'd them in flight, and that can several minutes to get right...

I find the DOF is the tricky bit sometimes...:-)

Thanks Mark, I'm happy if I get the eyes in focus. I have a couple of flight shots where the were hovering, too fast for me otherwise.

Wonderful shots Alan. I see them at the lake and around my pool and lucky to get some good shots. They love to sunbake and that's when I get them, similar to yours.
