The Twenty-Eight Parrots, are also known as Yellow-collared Parrots, and is found in south-west West Australia. Its call sounds like the words “‘twenty eight,” hence their name. They belong to the genus barnardius, along with the Mallee Ringneck, Port Lincoln Parrot, and Cloncurry Parrot. These parrots all have a green body and a yellow ring or collar around their necks and are referred to as Australian Ringnecks.
Here in WA they are always called Twenty-Eights.

Thanks David. It was almost on tip-toe like it just had to have that higher one. They are pretty birds but a bit destructive, like many birds BUT this is their territory

Thanks Alan. Not that close - about 10 metres maybe?. The 400mm helped

Al right for a bird picture!

100% NOT a bird picture Hans. I was fascinated by the sow thistle and as I took the photo, the bird just popped into the frame and photobombed it.

Haha! It has a bird, plainly posing so it's a, "bird picture".

You're not playing the game Hans. It's 100% a landscape image incorporating a bit of nature.
