  • Cactus flower

I know that only as some sort of cactus and this is the flower.
And I open the camera up a lot more than I would normally would do so I could get more of the little flowers to be clearer in the shot.
This is not in my yard but seen it just down the road from home.

Sorry for the delay in the reply but my backside has been kicked quite hard with the bad weather here.
And leaves me not too bothered with a great deal.
But I have been able to get out a few times and I am so far behind in posting shots as well.
This aside I thank you so much for what you have said and I do really appreciate what you said.

    Beautiful flowers. Nice shot.

Thanks you so very much David_MC and as you said is what drew me to the flower.

Spectacular flower Ralph and I like the close crop. It does seem to have a slight colour cast or haze that could be removed by using Curves (or Levels) to remove the space at the dark end of the histogram for each colour and increasing overall contrast slightly.

Thanks for what you have said Alan and on what you have said is out of my skill level as since I have got into birds all or close to most other things I have forgot about what I use to do. On the actual shot it is almost close to as shot just resized to post so no crop job done on it.
I really have to start to look at taking a few other things here and there to get a better base line.
