The first two are excellent Isac, with great detail and colour. In #3 the out of focus petals front petals at front spoil it for me. Good detail at the base of the petals though. Are these with your usual zoom lens?

Thanks Hans. These were out in the elements. I went back for a second lot but the seeds had all blown away.

Cheers Alan. These were with my Tamron 60mm f:2 macro. It has a really narrow DOF which makes it tricky to get everything in focus. The 18-400 may have done better. When I see more, I'll change settings to see if I can get better results. Pretty breezy right now, so no good for these shots.

I thought it might have been a macro lens although I’m not sure why. Closer to the subject, better sharpness/contrast?
