Took this on 27-05-2022 and I thought that by this time that they all would have been in hibernation.
But here it was and I almost stood on it so I was glad I never done that.
This was the best angle I could get as it was wedged in the bush keeping away from me.

Thanks and I just think that it is weird that it is still out and about still.

I think this one was a sub adult as it wasn't overly big so it might be a year or 2 old. Still nice to see as well even at this late stage.

Good one. I think it's smiling.

Hans I find it really hard to get them to open up like this so I just put my foot closer and this works.
I like to pick them up and check for ticks and then let them go again as this is what we did as kids and it is still with me today.
Oh yer I do have tweezers in a pocket for such times like that.

Never thought of them having ticks. I like them better than snakes.

Would never do the same with a snake.
