  • Reed going to seed

My only wish is for a little more wind and I will keep an eye out for it now that I know this is happening.
To see just how tightly packed in these seeds are and when ready to bust open the wind is there to help move them about.

Lovely work Ralph. I have the same reeds at my local lake and I took similar pics a day before yours - that's spooky. So I went back today and took a few more - different focal lengths - and they are rather fascinating. Cheers!

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

I went back the day or 2 later as it was a little more wind but I couldn't find it, though there are many more to go but still need a little more wind to move the seeds as you know they are tightly packed in.
