As with all images - it depends upon what & where in the photo the actual subject is
In this case as a garden shot, the pig is out of place and 'lost' amongst the foliage surrounding it .... but the cropped image changes our focus on the image and the pig now becomes the main feature ~ and any image with a main feature will grab us easily
Hans- may I suggest more explorations around the pig using different camera positions so that we can see different aspects to its shape / face / etc.

I had this wacky notion of the camera looking at its eyes / snout / wiggly tail with the flowers in the background ....... sort of thing
