  • Out for an evening's stroll

    G'day all

A "happy snap" of the flying foxes / fruit bats flying overhead at dusk. Literally thousands of them expand from their daytime rookery out into the countryside seeking sweet sustenance every night, returning to the rookery at dawn

    exif- Panny FZ-300; 1/30s x F3,5; ISO-400; lens at 3x zoom / 70mm FFequiv

    As always, feedback welcome

Noisy, smelly buggers, but they make for a great image in this case. Fantastic colours in the sky.
    Great work Phil.

That’s more than a happy snap Phil. Well done. I’ve seen this many times years ago in film days, but never tried to get a shot.

Perfect time of day for a fabulous shot of these flyers Phil. Colours are great. I'm amazed at how good the shot is at 1/30th sec.
