    G'day all

    This juvenile Grey Butcherbird has been dancing around the yard, and enjoying a few teenage squabbles with the adult/s also in the area

    Wow, a couple of pearlers there Phil. You've given me new confidence in the FZ300.
    Do you shoot in manual, shutter priority, or aperture priority mode for your bird shots. Do you have ISO set to a particular value, or is it set to Auto?
    What would be the maximum distance you would be from say, a magpie, to achieve a decent image?

      wow - heaps of Qs ... I'll give you a long-winded answer in a new post
      The above images had about 10-12m between me and the birds ... where I am sitting quietly in the yard, reading my book and waiting patiently for them to "do what comes naturally" Each image above is cropped a bit from the JPG original

      Agree with above. Great poses and good light. The birds pop against the dark bokeh BG. Well presented TFS.
