  • Black cockies are in town again

    G'day all

It's that time of year when the Black Cockatoos return from the hills to chase after the new shoots and cones in the tree tops. These Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos are regulars across the region at this time of year, always hard to photograph as they hide way up in the canopy

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/400s x F4,5; 24x zoom / 480mm FFequiv; ISO-125 (plus a heavy crop)

    As always, feedback welcome

    Phil

Nicely captured just a tiny bit oversharpened and maybe a bit of detail in the birds body would be nice. Like the distinct contrasts between the sky tree and bird.
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

You gotta grab what you can, when you can Phil. Like Hans said, just lacking a bit of detail in the shadows. Lovely colours. They are such a clever and lovable bird.
