G'day Hans
Wonderful pic - presumably over your back yard ....
My after-dark pics of this storm front are nowhere as good as this one

Now you're talkin' Hans! That's a beauty mate. Now you'll have to share your settings for all to see and learn.I Shoot A Canon

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Phil & isac I'm sure having a veranda in the right place helped a lot. As far as the settings 24mm at F5.6 128 seconds ISO 200 . I have a plug in shutter release, the camera was set to Bulb. Focus was set to infinity and camera on a tripod. I just waited until I got two decent flashes. The foreground was still a bit dark but it was 10pm after all. I would have taken some more but it started to rain and I had no wish to test the weather proofing.

Same storm in the morning.
Better a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy.
