It never occurs to me to walk around the town. You do get a good haul though Isac. I think the red ones are a bit under.

Cheers Hans. I always like to under expose the reds because Canon refuse to fix the clipping problem. I don't mind the darker colour as long as it has good detail (only my opinion though). I'll have a play to see what I can change.

    Maybe a bit better?

The second one yes. Wht's the matter with the first? I think the flower is a bit flat may need to select by colour. and see if you can liven it up a bit.

You'll have to do that for me Hans. Go for it. If you make the red brighter it will lose detail. Perhaps a blended overlay using a luminosity mask?

You made it a bit orange but it's still a lot brighter. What's your workflow?

    • #6
I made the luminosity masks. picked one that showed the rose the clearest. selected a curves adjustment layer and modified the mask paited black on the outside and lightened the rose. Played a bit with the curves. Then Grouped the layers and selected Lab mode . selected the lightness channel and put view view all. Then used the curves in adjustment. after that used the grey mask for pushing the highlights a bit.
Hope that makes sense. The more you learn by doing the less you learn the jargon.
