Geez mate you're a cunnin' fella

Whenever I try colour replacement I can never get all the tiddly bits to change and so it becomes a tiresome effort
Q- so how did you manage it??

Thank you Phil, I don't know about cunning though. I use Photoshop, do you?

I see you have PSE. This is how I do it using PSE (v9).
DUPLICATE the BG Layer (Ctrl or Command+J), then with Layer 1 selected:

1. Top menu: Enhance > Adjust Color > Replace Color


2. Check Localized Color Clusters.
3. Select the LEFT EyeDropper tool and click ONCE ONLY on a colour you wish to change.
4. Set Fuzziness to about 12.
5. Click on the MIDDLE EyeDropper tool (this will add more colours to your single colour selection).
6. Click on the image again and drag the mouse over the colour variations you wish to add to your single colour selection.
You will notice in the B&W selection mask what is selected. Don't worry if other parts are selected, we will mask those out later.
7. In the Replacement box, move the HUE slider until you find your required colour. Increase the Saturation as well and Lightness slightly, if required.


If you need to delete some parts which should not have been affected, create a mask for the new Layer 1 as below.

Using a BLACK brush, paint on the WHITE mask to hide the new colour change effect on parts that you don't want it on as below
