  • at least we know what is eating our garden

was sitting watching some tv the other say when I saw movement out the corner of my eye. to my surprise there was this swamp wallaby walking along the verandah nibbling on the plants.
I still had the 200-500 on the camera from a trip to mogo zoo so managed to get a few pix thru the glass. maximum distance was 3m. the 200-500 can focus down to 2.2 metres so seemed to be the thing to use. it was as if she didnt see me at all as she went about the business of eating the roses. d5 200-500f5.6 @320mm 1/160 f5.6 iso 3200. full frame but cropped to 5x4
tried to get outside for some pix but she was off as soon as the door opened Click image for larger version

      So close and so detailed!

CC - There appears to be a lot of blue/cyan around the eyes and ears. Perhaps a reflection from something nearby?
(Please feel free to ignore the above. Could be my monitor?)

      Cheers.

What if there were no Hypothetical questions?
CC always welcomed, feel free to post your ideas with an edit if you have time - Thanks.

I thought the colour was off a tad too. possibly shooting thru the window at an angle. I have some other pix so will have a look later on.
love being here of course. shirley isnt that thrilled with the wildlife eating our roses and daisies etc

relooked at these and wb appeared too cool. not sure why but suspect some window funkyness. added an image of the same wallaby at 500mm instead of 320mm, also got down on the floor to clear the background.
warmed up a tad and I think it looks a bit better. Click image for larger version
