It definitely has contrast. What did you do to get the blue background?
The stem colour seems altered too.

The original background colour was a light green and by selecting "autotone" in Photoshop CS6 it was converted to the blue that you see in the shot.

dunno, feels over saturated to me. sharp enough and plenty of details, yet not sure I seen blues like that in nature. is only my opinion of course
