A very, very hard subject to capture in the camera - and you've done 'em nicely
It's #1 &/or #3 for me as each shows more of the insect than "just" a head-on view

What a difference the flash makes. #3 for me but all good.The darker background definitely helps images #3 and #4.Comment

The flash does make a lot of difference. The colours are truer without the flash, but the flash brings out the details so much more, look at the area below and between the eyes for example. I prefer the background without the flash though.Cheers, Brad.Comment
