Very nice. The extra black background on the right side could be cropped closer to the flower. I find it a little distracting.

Lovely colour eaglem. I like the black BG. Just a tidy up as Todd suggested to give the flower nice sharp edges. I actually saw a white one and grabbed a snap - I haven't seen one before.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Maybe split the difference and have a little more positive space. I also meant that as you have a pure black background the right hand edges of the flower cold be sharper, because there's nothing in the BG to show the depth of field - if that makes sense?

Just a sharpen of the edges on the petals on the right and re-frame, still having some positive space. Only my thoughts, some may disagree. It's all your fault, you're the one who got me hooked on floral photography

If you had of said I got you hooked on fishing I could see the correlation but no hooks are used in floral photography.

I don't know what to say about that eaglem. I do know that it's very difficult to be fishing with a DSLR hanging around your neck!

But at least you'll get a shot of the one that got away before it does!

I rather like the extreme negative space on the original but I'd settle for the framing Isac provided.

Hard not to like a photo of a beautiful flower. Not having done this yet but will definitely have a go at focus stacking seems to be a perfect candidate for that sort of treatment.
