    The direct lighting gives nice contrast without being at all harsh. i like the composition with the two buds. Not sure about the small starburst, although it is quite subtle.

      Thank you for your comment, that starburst came from a big drop on the side of the Rose.

        Sorry eaglem, I looked carefully but got it wrong, perhaps I'm growing cynical as I age. It makes a nice addition to the image.
