G'day mate
As I see it - you have several centre-of-interest items here ... and I do like the small spider hiding under the petals !!
The hi-contrast lighting to me is contrasting with the beautiful tones from the two green leaves but I am left with my eyes dancing around both flowers then the leaves then smiling once I see the spider
Q- what would it look like 'a bit simpler'? ... if the RHS flower plus the RHS leaf were out of the frame, thus concentrating the viewer's eye to the LHS stuff?
ps- 9/10 from me for your excellent photographic technique

I'd flip the rose horizontally in your edit eaglem to have the flower leaning into the frame. I've always enjoyed your photos.I Shoot A Canon
