Rule of Thirds is an excellent starting point for framing the subject but aesthetically the centre of the subject is usually on the 1/3rd line on the vertical, horizontal OR both as opposed to noughts and crosses which would place the subject inside the 1/3rd box. You know what I mean, but for those that don't ....

I've also got a couple of handy actions you may like to try eaglem. One is for creating the 1/3rd guides for any sized image and the other is just to clear the guides. On my website in the "Fun Stuff" action set.I Shoot A Canon

rule of thirds not in this one either. as presented it feels too tight in the frame particularly on the left, but top and bottom also. I like the colour interaction too.
as presented you could crop at least 1/3 off the right and not affect the shot at all imho. but you need more room around the flower, again imho.

For what it's worth, I agree with the others but for me what spoils it is having the flower facing out of the frame instead of into the negative space. This is what I mean.
