  • Breakfast at the creek.

I wandered down to my creek this morning with the D7100 and Tamron 150-600 topped with the Yongnou 568 and Better Beamer.

The Azure Kingfisher was by the bank waiting for some action....

Absolutely devine story with fabulous photos as well Ironwood. Pretty hard to get good pics of Platypus. If you have a CPL it will show more of what's hiding underwater. Highly recommend it.

Thanks Isac. Platypus are definitely not an easy species.
I have thought about a CPL for that lens, but 95mm CPL's run a bit high for my wallet I'm afraid.

Great story. Rarely get to see Kingfishers here.

Thanks Greg. I am really lucky here, I could probably see them everyday if I had time to walk the creek more often.
When I retire, I will probably build a hide down on the creek bank.

Great idea. I get to see platypus close up on a weekly basis but I don't bother with a polariser when photographing them either. The water's pretty muddy where I see them.
          Working...
