        Yes they are interesting creatures. The species we normally see in Tasmanian waters is Phylcenactis tubaculosa. In the day time they either attach themselves to some weed such as kelp or roll quite freely around the bottom with tentacles retracted as in the photo I've posted.

        However at night time they feed and physically move about in the water column not unlike jellyfish with tentacles outstretched and will reattach to various rocks, weeds or whatever is convenient.

        I do have some night time shots of them taken over 30 years ago some where in my slide collection but not easy to place. I'm sure if you google the name you could get plenty of info and pictures off the net.

                  Super shot Greg. Under the water provides something very interesting - in fact there's probably still lots to be discovered that we humans are yet to see. Well done, the colours are fantastic.
