      Cheers Phil.

Trying to put together a portfolio for an exhibition next year so this was an experimental shot, just fishing for ideas really.

Truckloads of camels on cable beach images out there, all in full colour, all at sunset etc etc. I'm trying to present a different perspective. This one wont see the light of day at the exhibition but it's a start.

I appreciate what you are trying to do - I'm not sure about the camel body reflection lower right - maybe there is a better/different crop in the original?

Not much room to move with this Alan, lots of cars and people in the background.

The camel rides operate in both early morning and late afternoon, This was an afternoon shot and I need to be there for the morning rides I think.

That will give me the beach/ocean as a clean backdrop. I was a bit late getting there as well, only had a minute or two to get my shots before the camels moved off the wet sand onto the dry.

So a whole bunch of bad planning and timing went into this shot

          Next time though.....

interesting comment on this. not sure it does it for me. you feel like you want either more camel or more shadow. more shadow would have been the interesting thing.
the morning light is going to be your friend, I think

Thanks Stephen, yeah, morning is the time to be there. Low tide on the springs is always early morning and will offer the best opportunities.
