Dragonfly in the Orange Tree

Spotted today whilst checking the orange tree. I thought the light was giving the wings a different appearance than usual - only an infant. You can probably tell I'm no expert at closeups.

Unusual colours in the wings. The eyes don't look quite sharp although I can't quite pick the plane of focus - it might be a little behind the eye.

Thanks wigz. It was the wings that I wanted to get but i would have liked to get the eyes in focus as well. I haven't got the gear for macro so I'll leave it to you experts. It wouldn't turn around and pose for me, perhaps it'll learn that as it gets older.

I'm no expert Isac. I just take a lot of shots and hopefully one of them is acceptable.

I agree, the Gold in the wings is unusual but eyecatching.
